The first seat belts that Ford fitted in a passenger car in 1956 were lap belts. This type of seat belt was still used until many years later. Even for our classic Volkswagen it was possible to have lap belts fitted from 1961. At that time road safety was not yet taken into account. Now we know better. The seat belt has become an important part of the car; even in classics seat belts are fitted en masse.

You can fit a modern (safe) 3-point belt, but you can also stay in the classic style by fitting these lap belts. They have the Wolfsburg logo on the buckle and are available in various colors. Especially for the retro-look lovers among us, there is only one type of seat belt that may enhance the interior, and these are shown here.
