Not all wheels are suitable for the fenders of your VW. To change this, you can buy wider wheels or opt for wheel spacers. A spacer is fitted between the brake drum or disc and the wheel, so the wheel comes further out.

Note: Some spacers are supplied with bolts. Please check the dimensions carefully before fitting the wheels. If no bolts are supplied, this does not mean that longer bolts are not required. Check the length of your existing bolts, add the thickness of the spacers and check whether there is still enough thread. If not, order extra bolts.
