Bumper rubbers should ensure that small collisions do not directly damage your bumper. These bumper rubbers, which run wholly or partly across the bumper, were applied by Volkswagen at the factory to the more luxurious versions, or were available as an option. In some countries bumper rubbers were legally required. In that case you also find them on VW models that were not fitted with a luxury package at the factory.

All bumper rubbers fit without problem on original bumpers that come with mounting holes as standard. If no rubber was present before, most bumpers have black tape in the middle to cover the mounting holes.

Note for the VW Vanagon: fitted into the bumper cover and supplied on a roll for two bumpers. These rubbers must be fitted with special metal clips, which you can buy in our shop.

The rubbers were fixed with plastic clips on older models and metal clips on newer models.
