Coolant hose clamps are spring-steel clamps that are kept under constant tension, unlike normal hose clamps that are tightened manually with a screwdriver or socket. It is important that the correct clamp is used, suitable for the diameter of the hose.

Problems with over-tightening and damaging the hose are no issue with these special coolant hose clamps, but we do recommend replacing them at the same time with a new hose.

After a while the load capacity decreases; using old clamps on a new hose can cause the hose to come loose, and we must prevent that.

Fitting and removing without the correct tools is a difficult job, especially when the clamp is in a place you cannot reach with pliers or sometimes at all. We recommend buying these special pliers, no matter where the clamp is located. With the flexible grip you can easily open any clamp and remove it from a distance.

When you push it up, the pliers lock, so that you have both hands free to slide the clamp off the hose, and with a push on the side lever you unlock it again; another big advantage is that the clamp is not damaged or opened too far.
