If your engine is fitted with Weber, EMPI or Dellorto carburettors, a wide range of air filters is available. Most air filters have a chrome lid; for the Weber IDF, EMPI HPMX or the Dellorto DRLA you even have the choice of an aluminium air filter (billet style), which stands out from all the others and is therefore only for the perfectionists among us.

All air filters are supplied complete with filter element, gaskets and mounting hardware, whereby the filter element, gasket and breather connection are also available separately as a spare part for some models.

The filters used are of very high quality. Tests have shown that they are in no way inferior to the "big brands" such as K&N. It is important that the filter is treated with air filter oil to ensure maximum filtration.

It is recommended to clean the filter carefully every 5,000 km with an air filter cleaner and then re-apply oil. In case of extreme dirt or damage the filter has to be replaced. If no replacement filter is available, you have to order a completely new air filter.

In an open engine bay, such as that of the Baja Buggy and off-road VW Beetle, it is advisable to fit the filter with a pre-filter. A pre-filter stops the coarse dirt to preserve the life of your filter element (available in our shop). If you are not sure which carburettor is fitted to your engine, look at the images. They also show the underside of the air filter, which corresponds to the top of the carburettor it is intended for.
