When tuning engines, larger carburetors quickly come into play. Weber is currently one of the largest carburetor suppliers and offers us a wide range of carburetors, so that any kind of tuning can be carried out. The larger the carburetor, the more power, but partly the rest of the engine must also be suitable for it, so you have to consider which carburetor is suitable for the engine. When the carburetor is fully assembled, you must make sure that both carburetors (if you fit two of them) are correctly synchronized, and a synchronizer (1110) will be an indispensable accessory. After this setting it is advisable to set the carburetors on a dynamometer; here the maximum power is taken from your engine by fitting the correct jetting with the correct advance or retard of the ignition. With larger carburetors you cannot avoid also fitting a fast-responding 009 ignition. All Weber carburetors are supplied each.

The 44 mm Weber is suitable for engines of 1800cc and larger. The fitted trumpet is directly of the correct type, namely F 11. It is not advisable to leave them on the carburetor, but to replace them with an air filter (2158), as the chance of dirt being sucked into the carburetor is very high and can cause major damage. As with the 40 mm Weber, the throttle arm can be fitted on both the left and right side. The venturi measures 36 mm and the following jetting is fitted from the factory: air jet 175 - fuel jet 135 - idle jet 50.
