As standard the cylinder head is fitted without a gasket or sealing material, which on engines with a larger displacement (usually with higher compression) can lead to leaks more quickly than on a standard engine. To achieve the desired compression ratio it is also necessary to use shims.

By using these copper cylinder head rings, all irregularities between the cylinder head and cylinder are filled for a perfect seal. At the same time it serves as a ring to set the compression ratio.

Never use 2 rings on top of each other in the cylinder head; if you need more than one ring, fit more than one between the cylinder and cylinder head and one between the crankcase and cylinder, which are also available in several sizes.

These copper shims are available in various thicknesses and for various cylinder head sizes, with the thickness and the outer diameter of the ring (inner diameter of the cylinder head) as well as the most common cylinder bore they correspond to stated.

It is possible to reuse these copper rings by heating them and letting them cool slowly. We do, however, recommend replacing them anyway and not using them twice.
