In race cars (circuit and drag racing) you drive at high speed. When the engine speed is suddenly increased, so much pressure can build up in the oil lines that the oil filter suddenly explodes. This oil pump cover is fitted with a pressure valve that, at a pressure of 9 bar, lets the oil circulate in the pump and thus limits the pressure rise. The valve is a protection for your oil circuit, activated only when it is really needed. This high-quality cover is CNC-machined (with computer-aided production control) from high-grade aluminum with a corrosion-resistant anodized layer.

Supplied without optional gaskets and hose connections (3/8 NPT thread).

Caution: A standard oil filter also explodes at 9 bar, so use only a high-performance oil filter, available separately from us.
