There can be various reasons to replace a window - the window is broken, you prefer a laminated glass window instead of toughened glass, the rear window heating no longer works, or the windows are too scratched.

Besides clear glass, some windows are also available tinted. Unless two tints are used, as with a sun band, all windows of a Volkswagen model have the same tint and therefore do not differ from each other.

All windshields are made of safety glass (laminated glass), so also on vehicles from a time when laminated glass did not yet exist. You can easily replace a toughened windshield with a laminated glass one; for safety reasons this is certainly worth considering, even if it differs from the original.

Caution! The heated rear windows must be protected with a stronger fuse than the original, 20 amps instead of 8 amps. The original wiring (1.5 mm2) can handle 24 amps, so it is certainly strong enough.
