Bumper horns were available as luxury equipment on Volkswagen Beetle models, while they were standard on the Karmann Ghia until 7/1971.
The horns are intended to protect the bumper in the event of minor collisions, but are now often installed as an additional accessory to preserve the classic look. Only one model is available for the Karmann Ghia, while three models are available for the Volkswagen Beetle, depending on the year of manufacture and/or bumper.
Warning: it is always necessary to properly maintain chrome bumper horns. If you neglect maintenance, rust may occur. This is not the case with stainless steel bumper horns. You can be sure that they will never rust. Due to the additional chromium layer applied, there is no noticeable difference between stainless steel and steel.
