For VW Beetle convertibles, the sheet metal above the door handle must be adjusted.

In every Beetle restoration, the doors are components that have to be checked and often repaired. The underside of the doors in particular often suffers from corrosion. This can be partially avoided by regularly checking whether the drain holes are clogged. While the window and the casement window are pretty well sealed with rubbers, you can't completely prevent water ingress over time. Condensation forms in the door.

If only the bottom of the door needs to be replaced, the lower door panels can be ordered separately. However, you will need to be an experienced restorer to ensure that the entire door panel is not deformed by heat and that you do not use too much filler material unnecessarily.
