Originality is of the utmost importance for many classic car owners. If there is a way to keep the original, this opportunity is taken. If your brake cylinders need replacing, you can buy new ones, but you can also consider having your brake cylinders overhauled; at least then you keep the original appearance.

Unfortunately overhaul kits are not available for all brake cylinders. But if your pistons have a diameter of 19.05 mm, you are in luck and can bring your existing brake cylinder back to life. This overhaul kit consists of new cups, dust caps, a pressure spring and a bleed cap for one brake cylinder. It is important that the pistons and the inside of the brake cylinder are still in good condition and not too badly rusted.

Note: Use only assembly paste, which ensures not only smooth fitting but also long-term storage; with brake fluid you can achieve exactly the opposite. Use assembly grease on the pistons, the inner brake cylinder and all rubber parts.
