Valve Adjustment Tool

Tool for valve adjustment.

VW Beetle engines - up to 1983 (ch 11-E-119 815).
VW Type 3 engines.
Type 4 1700cc engines.
CT/CZ engines.

Adjusting or checking the valve clearance is part of the maintenance carried out every 5000 km.

The adjusting screw must be turned in or out with a screwdriver, and when the correct clearance is reached, the lock nut must be tightened so that the adjusting screw does not turn.

To make the adjustment much faster and more precise, this tool was developed. You no longer have to fumble with a loose ring spanner that always jumps off the nut when securing the adjusting screw.

Once you have used this tool, you would wish you had bought it much earlier. Do not forget to order a feeler gauge set immediately (available separately in our shop) if you did not already have one, because without the correct feeler gauge the correct clearance cannot be set.

This wrench is only available for M8 adjusting nuts (13 mm across flats).
