For every VW model the corresponding battery is available in 6 and 12 volt. The 6-volt models match the original (black bakelite), while the 12-volt models are modern with a plastic housing.

All batteries are supplied without acid. Not to be confused with demineralized battery water; the latter is only used to top up the battery during use.

The size, capacity and number of liters of battery acid required are stated on each battery. If you want to fit a battery with a larger capacity, note the dimensions.
