Hearing the name "Nardi" makes the heart of the classic sports car enthusiast beat faster. The dream of one day getting an original Nardi steering wheel at an affordable price is an almost impossible task. This has now changed with this Nardi-design-inspired wood steering wheel, which is not cheap, but easier to obtain to make your dream come true.

In 1958 Enrico Nardi started a collaboration with Enzo Ferrari: Mr. Ferrari was used to paying a lot of attention to the details of his cars, which Enrico could offer in the steering wheel area. There was a long-term collaboration between Nardi and Ferrari. Most Ferraris were fitted with a Nardi steering wheel as standard. Partly as a result of this collaboration the Nardi steering wheel became world-famous, and not only Ferrari but also many brands with a racing history helped Nardi to its fame. Nardi was chosen as a supplier for production vehicles by, among others, Lancia, Audi, Maserati, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Lotus, TVR, McLaren, Volkswagen, Abarth and BMW. Besides production vehicles, the accessory market had an even larger market share, which allowed Nardi to reach a much larger target group, so fitting a Nardi steering wheel became accessible to everyone.

This Nardi design steering wheel has a diameter of 40 cm, is made of a single piece of aluminium, with outer rim parts of wood that have finger recesses on the underside for better grip. The steering wheel is not completely flat but has a depth of 3 cm; together with the steering wheel hub (not included) this is the correct depth for our Volkswagens. The heavily chrome-plated mounting ring and mounting hardware are included. The horn cap is not included with the steering wheel; always take it extra (4002748).

To fit this steering wheel you need a steering wheel hub. The steering wheel hub is only suitable for a Nardi design steering wheel and not for an original Nardi steering wheel.

You have to transfer the turn signal cancelling ring from your old steering wheel, but if it is no longer present or you no longer have an old steering wheel, order it extra.
