Throttle Cable Clamp

Clamp piece for the throttle cable.
Type 1 engines throttle cable (except 1300cc - up to 1965).
Type 3 engines throttle cable - up to 1963.
Type 3 engines thermostat - from 1963 onwards.

On Volkswagen Type 1 engines, with the exception of the first 1300cc and the first Type 3 engines, this clamp is used to fasten the throttle cable to the throttle lever or linkage of the original carburetor.

This throttle cable clamp is also used to fasten the rod of the cooling control valve to the thermostat lever of the latest generation of VW Type 3 engines.

On engines with more powerful carburetors (not original VW), this part can in most cases be used to fasten the throttle cable to the throttle linkage.
