If your door handle is rusted or your lock is broken, you need a new one. Restoration is of course possible, but usually outweighs the cost of a new handle.

In the first model years of the VW Beetle and Bus, the door handle on the passenger side was not fitted with a key lock. The door could only be unlocked from the inside; these door handles are also available new.

Do not forget to also order the seals, which have often had their best days.
