When setting up your carburetor(s), preferably on a dynamometer, in most cases you will need to adjust the jetting to get the maximum power out of your engine.

For the most common Weber/EMPI, Dellorto and Solex/Brosol carburetor types there is a wide choice of jets. If the correct size is not among them, you can always adjust your existing jets or an approaching jet with a reamer.

Checking is the key word for success. Never assume that what is stated on the packaging is correct. Always carry out a check. This also applies to fitting the jets. Before fitting the jets you must check the size - not just what is printed on them, but also measure them with a gauge.
