When adjusting your carburetor(s), preferably done on a dyno, in most cases you have to adjust the jetting to get the maximum power out of your engine.

For the most common Weber/EMPI, Dellorto and Solex/Brosol carburetor types there is a wide choice of jets. If the correct size is not available, you can always adjust your existing jets or a close jet with a reamer.

Checking is the key word for success. Never assume what is stated on the packaging. Always carry out a check. This also applies to fitting the jets. Before fitting the jets you must check the size, not only what is written on them, but also measure them with a gauge.
