Intake manifold end set chrome.
VW Beetle 1300 | 1600 dual port engines - from 8/70 and later.

The 1300 and 1600 engines have a dual intake from August 1970 and therefore a different manifold than the years before. The manifold now consists of three parts: a center section that houses the carburetor, and two end sections that attach to the cylinder heads.

Originally, a 1300 has a smaller inside diameter than a 1600, so the original 1300 manifold bends will not fit a 1600 manifold. The intake manifolds mentioned here are identical to those on a 1600 and can be used on both the 1600 and 1300 engines.

If you purchased the High Flow intake manifold and want to install it on a 1300 engine, then you must also use these 1600 intake manifolds.

These manifolds come as a set, including gaskets, intake sleeves and clamps. You also have a choice between the standard version and the fully chromed version for those who want to make their engine shine.

Note: The standard set does not come with the vacuum ports that are required for automatic versions or VW buses with brake boosters. The left manifold has a thickening where a vacuum connection (hose nozzle) can be attached (drilling and tapping required). The chrome-plated set, on the other hand, has a device for this in the form of a blind plug, which provides space for a hose connection.
