As with the overhaul of the engine, when overhauling the gearbox you also replace all bearings, even if that is not always easy. Not all bearings are still available and you have to search auction sites for N.O.S. (New Old Stock) versions or, in the worst case, reuse your old bearings. The main bearings with the highest loads are located around the primary shaft or main drive shaft and have recently become available again for a limited number of model years.
