Torsion bar bushings for left and right, inner and outer.
Torsion bar rubbers for the rear axle.
Sold each.
VW Beetle inner | outer | right | left - up to 7/59.
Type 14 Karmann Ghia inner | outer | right | left - up to 7/59.
These rubbers are hidden behind the torsion bar covers, and when you remove the spring plates there is another rubber behind them, so we talk about the inner and outer rubber.
If the rear suspension of the car makes noise, then in most cases these rubbers are worn. The spring plate sinks through the rubber and touches the cover. If these are faulty, you have to replace not only the rubbers but also the torsion bar covers. So if the rear axle makes noise, check the spring plate bushings and replace them straight away.
If only the outer spring plate bushing is worn, it is advisable to replace the inner bushing as well. If you do not, the new spring plate bushing will wear twice as fast.
In appearance the two bushings are identical. The difference is in the composition of the rubber. This is only visible from the small round bumps on the top of the rubber. One has two and the other only one. If necessary, hold the packaging near the bushing so you can fit the correct bushing in the correct place.
A-quality rubbers have the correct hardness and are of very high quality, thus equal to the original. B-quality rubbers are slightly softer in the rubber compound, which makes them more comfortable, but you have to sacrifice something in terms of handling; they also collapse faster and have a shorter service life.
