With high engine power more things come to light that have to be improved and reinforced, for example the side covers of the differential. Enormous forces are placed on them, so it is important not to overlook this - prevention is better than repair. In many cases a reinforced differential is also used, and the combination of a reinforced differential with the standard side covers is like a 200 hp engine with drum brakes: sooner or later it will go wrong.

These heavy aluminium side covers can easily handle the high forces that are released and are supplied individually. The cover for the swing axle gearbox is also fitted with a bracket for mounting the outer clutch cable; on the IRS gearboxes you can reuse your existing one.

* Swing axles are identified by a drive sleeve fitted on the gearbox side. IRS axles are loose shafts (with CV joints) with drive sleeves on both sides.

On the swing axle gearbox the swing axles have to be set with shims (gaskets); order extra gaskets straight away, as well as a gearbox gasket set with the most needed gaskets, plus the separately mentioned gaskets that are not included in the gasket set. For the IRS gearbox it is advisable to order the drive shaft seals straight away too. You can buy these separately in our shop.
