On older models these nuts are normal M6 nuts. An additional M6 nut is used to secure the setting. On the later models the adjustment principle was modified with a compensating bracket that ensures that when one side is loosened, this is compensated on the other side, so both handbrake cables stay at the same tension. To ensure correct function, the adjusting nuts are tapered on one side so they fit into the compensating plate. To secure the assembly, an M6 bolt is also tightened here.
