Type 3 engines.

The 12-volt voltage regulator for the DC generator is usually located on the left side under the rear seat or in the engine bay.

This electronic regulator stabilizes the generator voltage to a fixed value to charge the battery. Nowadays this control is done electronically, compared to the old, originally fitted regulator. The advantage of an electronic voltage regulator is a flatter voltage, better moisture resistance and less susceptibility to wear.

The DC generator can be recognized by its straight cylindrical shape.

Note: once the packaging has been opened, the part cannot be returned.
