If your engine suddenly stalls at every traffic light and you constantly have to work the throttle and brake at the same time to keep it running, there is a good chance your carburetor is ready for a full overhaul.

It is not just about replacing a few gaskets, but about tackling the cause at the source, i.e. fitting the throttle and air shafts with new bronze bushings.

Since not many people can do this work themselves, and it is an expensive procedure if you hire a specialized company, buying a new carburetor is much cheaper and you then own a new, factory-sourced part.

These carburetors are only suitable for Type 1 engines and work with 12 volts (a conversion to 6 volts is of course possible). For each carburetor there is a detailed explanation below, so you can make the right choice and understand the difference from your old carburetor.

Paruzzi 02141 H30/31 PICT

Solex is Volkswagen's supplier and Brosol is the manufacturer, so here you are dealing with a carburetor from the original manufacturer.
It comes with a fitted adapter and can also be used as a replacement for the 34 PICT-3 or 34 PICT-4 carburetor.
If you are looking for a replacement for the 34 PICT-3 or 34 PICT-4, we recommend choosing the correct carburetor straight away rather than using this H30/31 with the adapter, because its smaller diameter (31 instead of 34 mm) costs unnecessary engine power. The adapter is fitted with two hex bolts; undo these and reuse the threaded ends to fasten the carburetor to the manifold.

Paruzzi 4425 34 PICT-3 for Mexican engines

This carburetor is designed for the latest generation of Mexican engines fitted with a vacuum system. It is a high-quality reproduction, often preferred over the Paruzzi 2142, on which the vacuum system has been removed.

This carburetor is made more universal and can therefore also be used on Mexican engines after 9/1977 (the vacuum system must be transferred). It is suitable for engines with a generator (DC: direct current) or alternator (AC: alternating current).
