Voltage regulator 12 volt AC.
Type 1 engines - from 8/74.
Only for original VW alternators.

This 12-volt voltage regulator is intended for the second-series alternator (AC), in which the regulator is built into the alternator. The regulator is located on the top of the alternator.

The alternator belonging to this regulator can be recognized by its non-straight cylindrical shape with a battery connection under a nut plus a plug connection.

Attention: Voltage regulator with reference 4001953 is only intended for alternators that VW originally fitted at the factory. If you have fitted alternator 4001964 or 4003964 (Bosch AL82N, Cinap 3756 or an imitation thereof), a different regulator 4001979 is available. (The Bosch AL82N was also originally fitted by Volkswagen on the Beetle from 4001993.)

Once the packaging has been opened, you can no longer return the component.
