On an air-cooled engine the engine temperature is very important. Volkswagen never considered fitting a simple warning light in the vehicle to warn you when the temperature is too high.

The VDO instrument mentioned here has a mounting size of 52 mm, works on 12 volt, is fitted with bright illumination and is supplied without a sender. This sender is available separately in our shop.

Fitting under the dashboard is also possible with a mounting plate. This is likewise available in our shop.

Note: The ideal oil temperature is 90 C, but it can reach up to 120 C; above that it becomes critical.
