Fan Housing Porsche Style | 240mm Fan

The best way to maximize cylinder cooling is to use a Porsche fan. It normally cools an air-cooled 6-cylinder, so you can imagine that this is more than enough for our 4-cylinder: a Porsche fan cools about 6 times as much, so cooling problems will never occur again.

The following modifications are needed to replace your existing cooling system with a Porsche 911 cooling system.

Type 1 engines and Type 3 engines:

• Your complete cooling plate is replaced by a Porsche-style cooling plate.
• The cooling fan is replaced by a Porsche cooling fan with alternator.
• The cooling fan is fitted with the mounting kit specifically for Type 1 engines.
• The fuel pump is replaced by an electric fuel pump.
• The oil cooler is removed and the oil must now be cooled with an external oil cooler.
• Side-mounted carburetors must be fitted.
• A modified throttle linkage that runs along the back of the cooling box (instead of the front).
