Ventilation grilles were an inspiration for the aftermarket from the start. Volkswagen was the first supplier to offer polished aluminium trims for fitting to the grilles.

For almost all ventilation grilles of all VW models a trim part was available at some point, and is still available today for most VW models. Although it no longer comes from the original manufacturers, many companies such as Paruzzi have offered a reproduction, so almost all ventilation grille trims are still available.

All trims are designed to be fitted without special tools and without the need for additional modifications. Fitting can be done by anyone in a very short time; on most trims it is just a matter of bending the clamping strips.

All listed trims are, like the original trims, made of aluminium, not to be confused with polished stainless steel, which was never originally used.

Note: The trims of the VW buses up to 7/1972 are the only grilles of this type used as standard from the factory on the luxury models. All other trims are accessories that you could buy at the VW dealer or in an accessory shop.
