Nowadays there are almost no cars left fitted with a roof gutter trim strip. This was a normal appearance until the early 1980s, which is why the trim strips could be obtained afterwards in many car shops.

To beautify the roof gutters as in the good old days, these roof gutter trims are available. On the last model years of the Karmann Ghia they were even fitted at the factory, though made of aluminum, while this replacement is made of plastic.

Fitting is very easy, by clamping the strip around the roof gutter. For a clean finish of the ends, special end pieces made of polished aluminum are available separately. On the Karmann Ghia the ends are secured with end pieces as originally.
