VW Beetle - from 8/67 onwards (1200 from 8/73 onwards).
Karmann Ghia - from 8/71 onwards.
VW Bus - from 8/72 onwards.
VW Type 3 - from 8/69 onwards.
VW Type 181 (Thing).

Fitting the license plate at the front is a little more difficult than at the rear. The rear has a fixed place for it, while the front does not. You often see that the plate was screwed directly to the middle of the front bumper and then usually mounted at an angle. Volkswagen sold various systems for this purpose at the time, which could be bought as an extra option at the Volkswagen dealer.
