The single-outlet sport exhaust has a single chrome outlet that exits at the bottom right of the rear valance. This is what has made the single tip so popular among Cal-Look enthusiasts. The sound is much heavier than the original, but still acceptable.

Sport exhaust systems
Alongside the standard exhaust there are many sport exhaust systems that produce a fuller sound and give the Volkswagen Beetle a sportier rear. Fitting one of these exhausts gives the impression of a more powerful engine at the rear, even though only the exhaust has been replaced. All sport exhaust systems have better exhaust flow, which translates into more power. If you fit one of these sport exhausts, you will notice that the spacer connecting the fan shroud to the heat exchanger is no longer present (except on the Sport and conventional exhausts). To still connect the fan shroud to the heat exchanger, take an aluminium pipe (01095) and connect it directly to the heat exchanger. All sport exhaust systems are supplied without mounting kit (01000, 03203 or 01159). You have to add some extra accessories; these exhausts are painted black with a chrome tip. On most exhausts the black paint only serves to prevent rust in the warehouse. If you want to keep the exhaust black, remove all the paint and then treat it with a heat-resistant paint.
