Brake discs are very prone to rust; when the car stands in the rain, rust marks are immediately visible, disappearing after a single braking action. The brake discs are therefore rightly protected to prevent water and dirt from being splashed onto them while driving. If no dust or splash shields are fitted, the service life of the brake discs and brake pads is reduced, which does not improve braking performance.

For the Volkswagen Beetle, Karmann Ghia, VW Type 3 and Panorama Bus, please order the mounting kit, which is not available everywhere (M7 bolts and washers). For the Volkswagen T25/T3 no mounting kit is available; these are standard M6 bolts with a length of 12 mm.

All splash shields are supplied individually, galvanized or with black transport paint.

Note: The splash shields for the VW Panorama Bus were originally intended for the Brazilian Volkswagen Bus with two mounting holes. These do not match the European VW Bus; it is necessary to drill the three mounting holes in the correct place, using your old dust/splash shields as an example.
