When fitting new tyres, the valves are replaced by every professional tyre specialist. This avoids the risk of the valve leaking. Volkswagen uses two sizes of valve, depending on which wheel is fitted, with a valve hole of 15.7 mm or a hole of 11.5 mm. Available as original and in chrome-plated version.

Standard valves
These are identical to the original: black rubber with a black screw cap and an overall length of 43 mm. If you are not sure whether you have the factory wheels from these years, measure the diameter of the valve hole so you do not order the wrong size.

Chrome-plated valves
With a chrome or polished rim the valve should certainly not be forgotten. With a valve hole of 11.5 mm you can choose between two different models (measure before ordering).

4002590 : Chrome-plated standard valve with an overall length of 49 mm
This valve is identical in construction and shape to the original, with the visible part chrome-plated and fitted with a chrome screw cap. The overall length is 49 mm, or 6 mm longer than the original.

4002573 : Extra short valve with a visible length of 20 mm.
Thanks to the visible length of only 20 mm the valve is less noticeable.
