Supplied with fuel pump push rod 100 mm, suitable for VW Beetle from 8/73.
For VW Beetle 8/65 to 7/73 you need the fuel pump push rod 108 mm (article 4866).
Type 1 engines - from 8/65 onwards.
Type 3 engines.

Even the fuel pump does not last forever; a leak to the outside becomes visible and poses a fire risk in the hot engine bay. But it happens more often that the fuel pump leaks internally; the leak becomes visible at the base in the engine block. If the engine oil smells of petrol, it is an internal leak. Often the oil level also rises, which is why replacement is important, because petrol does not lubricate the engine block, which can lead to serious engine damage.

Caution! As many engines no longer have an original fuel pump, it is important to check the length of the drive shaft (push rod). A fuel pump from the wrong year with the wrong shaft length causes problems: your pump is not efficient, or you break the pump straight after starting. You must also make sure the shaft can move smoothly in the fuel pump mount. If the shaft cannot move smoothly through the housing, it can seize when the engine warms up and the fuel pump stops working.
