Tank Drain Set

Tank drain / overflow set.
VW Beetle - 1200 | 1300 | 1500 - from 8/61 onwards.

Clean the fuel filter inside the tank at every service to make sure the fuel supply is not interrupted. If it turns out the filter is too dirty, you have to replace it (available separately in our shop).

Although this is part of normal maintenance, in practice it does not happen often and the whole fuel system tends to get very neglected. A brand-new connection gives you a fresh start and from then on you can carry out the correct maintenance prescribed by Volkswagen.

The kit is supplied with filter and sealing ring (between nut and connection). Take an extra filter straight away. If it turns out at the next service that the filter needs replacing, it is already in stock in your workshop.

Note: The connection is for the standard 5.5 or 6 mm fuel hose; if your engine is fitted with larger carburettors, it is a good idea to take this into account now by choosing the 8 mm connection.
