If your fuel filter is extremely dirty, it can restrict the fuel supply so that the engine does not get enough fuel. You can keep fitting a new filter over and over, but it often makes more sense to replace the tank.

Rust particles are frequently the cause of the problem. Cleaning the tank can help, but not for long, because the metal is corroded and will soon cause a new problem or a blockage.

If you own a buggy, this is the fuel tank to use. It is the only fuel tank with the fuel inlet on top and the option to install a fuel float. The tank is also a great fit if you have welded the fuel flap shut on your Cal-look VW Beetle.

Alongside the budget-friendly B-quality (4000492 fuel / petrol tank B-quality), the tank is also available in a high-grade A-quality (4005492 fuel / petrol tank A-quality).

The A-quality tank has a tough grey powder coating and the original dimensions. The original fuel cap fits and seals perfectly on the A-quality tank.

The B-quality tank comes with a black transport primer. Its dimensions differ slightly from the original, so some adjustments may be needed during installation. The filler neck also differs from the original, so the original fuel cap cannot be reused - please use the fuel cap listed above instead.

The tank is supplied bare; any connections you may need must be ordered separately.
