Intake manifold end set.
VW Beetle 1300 | 1600 dual-port engines - from 8/70 onwards.

The 1300 and 1600 engines have a dual intake from August 1970 and therefore also a different manifold than the years before. The manifold now consists of three parts: a center section, in which the carburetor is located, and two end sections, which are fastened to the cylinder heads.

Originally a 1300 has a smaller inner diameter than a 1600, so the original 1300 manifold end bends do not fit on a 1600 manifold. The intake manifold end pieces mentioned here are identical to those of a 1600 and can be used for both the 1600 and the 1300 engine.

If you have bought the high-flow intake manifold and want to fit it to a 1300 engine, you also have to use these 1600 manifold end pieces.

These manifolds are supplied as a set, including gaskets, intake sleeves and clamps. You also have the choice between the standard version and the fully chrome-plated version, for those who want to make their engine shine.

Note: The standard set is not fitted with the vacuum connections required for automatic versions or VW Buses with brake booster. The left manifold has a thickening where a vacuum connection (hose barb) can be fitted (drilling and tapping required). The chrome set, on the other hand, has a provision for this in the form of a blanking plug, offering room for a hose connection.
