Electric Intake Pre-Heating

If there are problems with the intake manifold freezing, this is often due to carbon deposits that have accumulated in the pre-heating tubes of the intake manifold. This can be checked by removing the exhaust and blowing compressed air into the pre-heating tube. If the air does not flow through, the tube is blocked and the manifold cannot transfer the exhaust heat properly. You can try to clear the tube of carbon deposits again, but often this does not work. The simplest solution is to fit this electric heater to your intake manifold.

This heater is mounted around the intake manifold below the carburetor and connected to the electric positive terminal of the ignition coil, with the other cable to the chassis.

When the ignition is switched on, the intake manifold is electrically heated, which prevents freezing.

Applies to all standard manifolds and manifolds of large, centrally mounted carburetors.

Suitable for 12 volt only.
