GTV-2 cylinder head with large ports, 40mm and 35.5mm stainless steel valves and reinforced springs.
The GTV-2 cylinder head is made of a special aluminum alloy and therefore has better durability.

This cylinder head is not based on an Autolinea, but on a new cylinder head developed by EMPI. On the EMPI GTV-2, the space between the valve and the spark plug hole has been further reinforced, so that 12 mm spark plugs are used here. Compared to the original, the EMPI GTV-2 is 50% stronger and has 44% more cooling surface. The intake and exhaust ports are 20% larger than the original, and there is more material to allow further porting. They are supplied complete with stainless steel valves and double valve springs fitted with chrome-molybdenum valve springs to prevent valve float at high revs. For the stainless steel valves, reinforced rocker shafts and hardened valve stem caps must be fitted; these are not included and must be ordered separately (see the Options tab). The EMPI GTV-2 is supplied ready to fit, but do not take any risk and check before fitting whether the valve leaks. A professional always takes everything apart to check with their own eyes and measuring instruments whether the cylinder head meets their requirements, and adjusts the head if necessary. With this working method you can save yourself a lot of trouble later.
