Connecting rod bearings for the VW crankshaft in standard quality.

Type 1 / VW Beetle engines (except 25 and 30 hp).

At every engine overhaul all bearings must be replaced, and this also applies to the connecting rod bearings.

Make sure that the connecting rod parts always stay together and that the connecting rods do not differ from each other by more than 5 grams. Check the crankshaft for irregularities; it is best to run your nail over the bearing surface. If you notice any irregularities, the crankshaft must be machined.

To determine the correct size quickly and without special measuring tools, an easy-to-use measuring tool has been developed for a number of engines; please add this if needed (if available for the engine).
