Differential shaft seal, per pair.
Seal for the CV joint flange, independent rear suspension.
VW Beetle independent rear suspension (IRS).
VW Beetle 1302 | 1303 - not for automatic transmission.
Type 14 Karmann Ghia - independent rear suspension (IRS).
VW Type 3 - independent rear suspension (IRS).
Type 181 (Thing) - independent rear suspension (IRS).

These grease seals are located where the axle flanges protrude from the differential housing and on which the IRS shafts are mounted.

If this seal only lets a little oil escape, it does not need to be replaced. This oil seepage ensures that the seal does not dry out. However, if it drips, you should replace this seal.
